Apple officially unveiled the iPad Air
and iPad
Mini with retina display along with 2 iPhones in October. Apple has
officially set out the launch date of Apple iPad Air and Mini with retina
display on December 7. The devices were shown to the world in an Apple
event in October this year.
iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were
a great hit in the Indian market, these 2 iPhones were completely sold out within
the first 24 hours of the launch in India. Indian customers have liking towards
Apple devices as these offer them a luxurious and premium look along with best
hardware on-board. The iPad Air is the world’s thinnest and lightest full sized
tablet yet offering you the best performance and better battery life.
The iPad Air comes with a 9.7-inch display with a resolution
of 1536x2048 pixels calculating to about 264 PPI density. This tablet features
the latest A7 processor clocked at a speed of 1.3GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. It
comes preloaded with IOS 7, bringing in all the latest features of the
operating system. This tablet sports a front camera with 1.2MP resolution along
with a rear camera with 5MP resolution. This tablet comes with 4G LTE
connectivity on board and draws its power from an 8,820mAH battery. The device with
16GB memory and WiFi starts at Rs 35,900.
The next device in the list is the iPad Mini with retina
display, this tablet is a 7-incher and offers double resolution than its
predecessor. This tablet has hardware specs similar to iPad Air and offers high
performance in a much compact size. The iPad Airi with retina display starts
with a base price of Rs 28,900. It would be interesting to see if the sales of
these iPads are able to out-beat the sale of iPhones in India.
