Apple launches iPad Mini with Retina Display and iPad Air in India

Apple officially unveiled iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display back in October; the devices soon went on sale in the US and Apple promised that it will debut both these tablets soon in India. Well technically the wait is over as both these smart tablets are now put on sale in the Indian market. iPad Air is available at a starting price of Rs 35,900 while iPad Mini with Retina Display is priced at Rs 28,900 (16GB WiFi only).

iPad Air is the world’s thinnest and lightest full sized tablet, the device bears a 9.7-inch display and comes with the latest hardware on-board. While on the other hand Apple has made tremendous upgrades to the mini series of tablets and brought the iPad mini with retina display into the market, the latest iPad mini comes with double the resolution than its predecessor.

iPad Air


The iPad Air comes with a 9.7-inch display with a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels at a pixel density of 264 pixels per inch. The device is powered by the latest A7 processor which is world’s first 64-bit smartphone processor. It features a 5MP rear iSight camera along with a 1.2Facetime HD front camera and runs on the latest iOS 7.

iPad Mini with Retina Display

This tablet comes with some major upgrades over its predecessor. It comes with the same 7.9 inches display size but packs in double the pixels than the earlier model in the same display size. This device, just like the iPad Air, is powered by the Apple A7 64-bit processor coupled with M7 motion processor. It comes with the same set of cameras as included on the iPad Air and runs on iOS7.
