Lava has launched 2 budget smartphones in India, the Lava Iris 503 and 3G 402 with a price tag of Rs 9,999 and Rs 5,499 respectively. Lava Iris 503 is a 5-inch smartphone with 3G feature while 3G 402 is an entry level budget smartphone (also with 3G). These 2 smartphones are aimed at budget conscious people who do not like spending a lot of money over smartphones.
Iris 503 comes with a 5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 540x960 pixels, it sports a 5MP rear camera with BSI and a 1.2MP front camera for video calling. The device has 4GB of ROM and 512MB of RAM while also giving the users the choice to expand the memory by adding up to 32GB micro SD card.
The 3G 402 is 4-incher device and offers visuals on a WVGA 480x800 pixel resolution. Just like Iris 503 this device also comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (OTA 4.2 update available) OS and 3G on board. It also has the similar processor with Dual Cores and 1.2GHz clock speed. It comes with a lower 256MB RAM and 512MB on board memory, the memory can be further expanded to up to 32GB using micro SD card.
