HTC has largely expanded its desire series by launching three smartphones in the mid-high range price category. The devices launched are the Desire 501, Desire 700 and Desire 601; all three devices come with Dual SIM and Dual Standby feature.
HTC desire 501 is the cheapest in the list and comes with a price tag of Rs 16,890 while the other two devices Desire 700 and Desire 601 come with price tags of Rs 33,050 and Rs 24,190 respectively. These devices run on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS and feature HTC Sense UI on top of it.
HTC Desire 501 flaunts a compact 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels, the device is powered by a 1.15GHz Dual-Core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It sports an 8MP rear camera along with a 2.1MP front facing camera for video calling purpose. The device comes with a 2,100mAH battery and has 3G connectivity on board.
The Desire 700 is a 5-inch phablet with qHD Display, this one is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor and 1GB RAM. This device just like Desire 501 has an 8MP and 2.1MP Dual cameras for photography and video calling needs. It also has 2,100mAH battery and 3G connectivity feature.
The third device in the list, Desire 601 is a mid-sized phablet with 4.5-inch display; it is again a qHD display. This smartphone is also powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor paired with 1GB RAM, this device has a 5MP rear camera and a VGA resolution front-facing camera. This smartphone also has a 2,100mAH battery but promises to give better talk time than the other two devices launched with it.
