BSNL gearing up to provide budget phablets in India, launches 6.5-inch smartphone priced below 10k

BSNL has launched Bharat Phone PF300 and Penta Smartphones, PS501 & PS650, along with a Tablet called Penta T-Pad WS707C (unveiled this year, comes with updated Android 4.2). All these devices fall in the budget price range and comes with low-end specs. Penta smartphone PS650 comes with a 6.5-inch display and is 

priced well below Rs 10,000.

Indian market is spurred with budget smartphones and tablets, companies like Micromax, Lava, Celkon and Xolo are competing tough in the budget price segment to provide customers with the best devices. With the launch of these devices in the market the competition is surely going to be fierce and is going to benefit the customers with wide variety of smartphones to choose from.

Lets take a quick view at the specs of these devices

Barat Phone PF300

This is a basic touch screen phone running Java on board. The device has a 3-inch Display and comes with Dual SIM function. The device comes preloaded with Eamil, Facebook, Mobile tracking and Call Recording apps. It is powered by an 1800mAH battery giving the device 15days of standby time and 8 hours of talk time. PF 300 comes with 200 minutes of free talk time on BSNL and is priced at Rs 1,799.

Penta Smartphone PS650

This smartphone comes with 6.5-inch display and is the cheapest in the 6-inch category. The device comes powered by a 1.2GHz Dual-Core Cortex A7 processor coupled with Mali 400 GPU. It runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS with added support from 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM. The device also has a memory expansion port and allows expansion by up to 32GB using micro SD card. This smartphone comes with 3G and OTG support, it hosts a 2,500mAH battery for power supply.

Penta Smartphone PS501

This device comes with 5-inch display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS on a 1.2 GHZ Dual Core processor just like PS 650. This smartphone has Dual SIM function and comes with 5MP rear camera and VGA resolution front camera. The memory on this device stands same as PS650 with 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM. This smartphone also has 3G and is powered by an 1800mAH battery. This one is priced at Rs 6,999.
